SHAH ALAM – Barisan Nasional (BN) secured victory in the Labu state seat in the 16th Negeri Sembilan polls after its candidate Siti Nur Umaira Hasim, also known as Maira Hasim, defeated challengers from Pakatan Harapan (PH) and Perikatan Nasional (PN).
In Labu, Maira Hasim of BN won 14,209 votes, securing a comfortable lead over PH candidate Datuk Ahmad Faez, who garnered 8,930 votes.
Meanwhile, PN candidate Mohamad Hanifah Abu Baker received 1,985 votes.
BN won the seat with a majority of 5,279 votes.
The result saw BN reclaiming the Labu constituency with a clear lead over its two opponents, strengthening the party’s performance in the state election.
